Following his passion for photography and film making, Richard has worked extensively in Europe and the UK as well as spending several years in LA working on commercials, corporate films and shorts.
After completing his feature film "The Calling" Richard co-founded the post production company Lizard Lounge where he was largely responsible for directing, compositing and design. Since 2009 Richard has been directing full time.
Despite Richard’s love of the technical possibilities of film making – being merely the tools for the job – the main focus of Richard’s work is emotion and capturing that elusive, fleeting moment that touches the heart.
‘Having a PPM in Moscow at minus 15 degrees Celsius then prepping the next day in Buenos Aires at plus 38 is quite an experience. It is especially if you find yourself dressing a snow-covered Moscow street while watching the Argentine extras sweating in their Russian winter coats.
Sometimes, this business has got a rather virtual feeling to it.
Actually, shooting four seasons from two 50-meter-tracks was a lot of fun and of course, no-one complained about the wagon-wheel sized Argentine steaks for dinner’.
