Andrew Oxley and David Williams are an award-winning directing duo. Having been shortlisted two years running for the prestigious Virgin Media Shorts competition, they’ve had short films touring cinemas nationwide with regular screenings on Bravo TV.
Specialising in the observational genre, with both documentaries and promotional films under their belt, Andrew and David have a unique ability to engage an audience. They offer a distinctive and powerful aesthetic through their innate interest in championing the ordinary.
Recent clients include The British Toilet Association, NHS and Bike Shed Theatre, as well as continuing their own brand of oddly curious documentaries.
“In the UK particularly, it’s considered rather taboo to talk about visiting the toilet yet, strangely, we noticed a lot of very unusual and well decorated facilities that were often in complete contrast to the rest of the décor in the building. So we set about unearthing this strange fascination with the toilet.
This short is from a longer documentary showing the results of our travels around the country interviewing people about their loos.”
