Andrew Oxley and David Williams are an award-winning directing duo. Having been shortlisted two years running for the prestigious Virgin Media Shorts competition, they’ve had short films touring cinemas nationwide with regular screenings on Bravo TV.

Specialising in the observational genre, with both documentaries and promotional films under their belt, Andrew and David have a unique ability to engage an audience. They offer a distinctive and powerful aesthetic through their innate interest in championing the ordinary.

Recent clients include The British Toilet Association, NHS and Bike Shed Theatre, as well as continuing their own brand of oddly curious documentaries.

Directors comment

This is a promo commissioned by the NHS to introduce a new mental health practice. The brief was to demonstrate the ‘Five Ways’ to health that doctors are both championing and using themselves in their everyday lives.

In order to create the feeling of positivity, we used archive footage to create the right atmosphere without directly telling the viewer how to engage in it. This allowed them to interpret it in their own way, which is the point of the Five Ways.

The film is now being used nationwide to help establish the practice.
