Rob works as a Director/DOP. What Client’s Say
Commercials Unlimited delivered an excellent job for EDF Energy, especially as there was a very tight schedule and budget. Our client was extremely pleased, and so were we as they were so very easy to work with.
We had been given our brief from a new and important client (Western Union), and as an Agency were incredibly conscious of the need to impress. We presented the script to Commercials Unlimited, and then the budget. This was going to be a tricky commercial to say the least – involving Caribbean acrobats and a hectic Brixton location. Within hours of my first meeting with Commercials Unlimited, my mind was at ease. They had not only fully understood the direction I wanted this production to go in, but had grabbed hold of it with passion and enthusiasm. They took all the worry of short timescales, tight budget and logistical traumas, and presented me with a solution that was over and above our expectations. The shoot went incredibly well, with the outstanding crew working together to create a finished product that all parties were over the moon with. The communication between Agency / Crew and Client was flawless, and with this in mind we are already planning our next commercial with the same client, which I am looking forward to discussing with Luke and the team.'
'From the onset I had a very clear vision of what we needed to achieve, so I was delighted when Commercials Unlimited proposed moving the shoot to Barcelona to overcome the problems of (potentially) poor light and cluttered environments. I was delighted too when they produced a real Atlantic cod for Red Vision to base their fish CGI on. The deadline was extremely tight, but having Graham Collier (the animator) along on the shoot was a great help in speeding up the subsequent CGI process. It was important too that the Big Fish appeared friendly whilst appearing authentic throughout and by virtue of what proved to be a real team effort, we achieved all our objectives and had a lot of fun besides.’
For the Bayer animated commercial. We were under time pressure but CU provided us with costings and a time schedule that would let us deliver what the client needed. We were able to make the inevitable changes along the way and were able to monitor and keep control of the project, without the need to be too hands-on. The process was always going to be hectic, but we were pleased with how it all went, and with the end result. We'll certainly work with them again."
